Championship Basketball with Henry Iba at OAMCThis collection contains material from the Archives' Oklahoma State University Championship Basketball with Henry Iba at OAMC collection. The source materials given to the OSU Library Archives were 35 mm Eastman nitrate films from 1946. They illustrate the work of a nationally recognized coaching giant, Henry Payne Iba (1904-1993). |

Edna Mae Phelps Political CollectionEdna Mae Phelps attended every Democratic National Convention beginning with the violent 1968 affair in Chicago to the 2000 convention. She pursued many interests with great devotion. We hope you enjoy her collection of over 4,300 buttons lapel pins, ribbons, hand clickers, and other items pertaining to presidential elections, Oklahoma politics, and special interests such as the Equal Rights Amendment, abortion, and other feminist issues. |
Flying Farmers & Farm and Home Week at OAMCThe Oklahoma Flying Farmers held its first convention at OAMC in 1945, with more than 2,000 farmers attending. The first National Flying Farmers Association convention was held on the campus the following year. The films in this collection feature newsreel-style footage of these conferences as well as the Farm and Home Week events, which were held at OAMC in 1947 and 1949. |
Jessie Thatcher Bost CollectionJessie Thatcher Bost was the first female graduate from Oklahoma A&M College. She graduated in 1897 as a member of OAMC’s second graduating class. The collection features Bost’s essays, photographs of Bost and her family, some of Bost’s class notebooks, and other OAMC memorabilia. |
John Hayes White CollectionJohn Hayes White was a Quartermaster Sergeant with the 2nd Division Engineers during WWI. The collection contains 78 photographs and 13 handwritten letters from White to his sister and mother. Most of the photographs feature the 2nd Division Engineers and were taken during WWI. Other photograph subjects include WWI, the Philippines, Cuba, and portraits of White as a soldier and later, with his wife. |
Oklahoma A&M College World War IDigitized in 2012, this collection was originally begun in 1919 by Maude Cass (OAMC Yearbook staff), Professor Maroney (History), Margaret Walters (Librarian), and OAMC President J.W. Cantwell. It represents a letter and survey sent to each OAMC student that participated in World War 1; over 500 surveys were returned, many of which include pictures, letters and news clippings. This collection is housed in the Archives at the Oklahoma State University Library. |
Oklahoma Native Artists ProjectThe Oklahoma Native Artists Project is a series of oral history interviews with Native artists, collectors, and gallery owners. The purpose of this project is to highlight the lives and careers of Native artists, to draw attention to the political aspects of making Native art, and to raise awareness of its cultural and economic importance. |
Paul Miller CollectionThe Paul Miller Collection consist of general correspondence, speeches, columns, and photographs of Miller, as well as similar material and memorabilia related to Associated Press, the Gannett Corporation, and other newspaper, radio and television concerns with which Miller was involved. |
Robert E. Cunningham, Photographer and Collector: Shedding a Light on a GemThis collection of glass plate negatives and acetate base photographs held in the OSU Library Archives represents a portion of Cunningham's collection amassed over the years. This memorabilia collection is historically significant in that it depicts the early history of OSU (A&M College), local history, and portraits of early residents of Stillwater. |
Secrets of the CenturyOn December 14, 1941, Oklahoma A&M College celebrated its 50th anniversary with a dinner hosted by OAMC President Henry G, Bennett. As a part of the celebrations, a time capsule was created, and attendees of the dinner were invited to write messages to the future attendees of the university. This digital collection contains 527 notecards written by the attendees. |
Soil Erosion and Conservation on the Southern PlainsA pictorial collection from glass lantern slides documenting the devastation caused by soil erosion and the innovative techniques utilized to successfully conserve soil and water resources on the southern Great Plains. |

WAVES at OAMCThe WAVES at OAMC collection consists of documents that detail the history of the WAVES (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service) training school at Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (now Oklahoma State University) during World War II. |
World War II PostersThis collection contains 149 unique posters printed by the United States Government Printing Office during World War II. Subjects include U.S. allies, morale, information security, war bonds and stamps, food rationing, recruitment, Victory Gardens, scenes by Norman Rockwell, and miscellaneous related subjects. |
WPA-Built Structures in OklahomaDr. W. David Baird's collection of slides, depicting structures built by the WPA in Oklahoma is a tangible reminder of one of President Roosevelt's New Deal relief programs that provided a viable livelihood for many Oklahomans during the 1930s. |
